Fires continue to be the greatest loss of life
Deaths and personal injury from fire continues to increase. In 2006 there were 3200 deaths and property damage amounted to $11 Billion (nfpa).
We can build safe facilities but if people are not properly trained or education on fire and life safety procedures, then what's the point.
Does your organization have a fire safety program? Has it been implemented or just put into a drawer...never to be looked at again....that happens in many organizations.
As a building owner, director, manager, or supervisor, you have a responsibility to ensure that the workplace is safe and your employees are educated on the fire and life safety procedures.

Fires occur on a daily basis in highrise buildings, condo's, restaurants, hotels, etc., and the majority of occupants do not know what to do when they hear the fire alarm. To most it's just an annoyance. This attitude sometimes results in loss of life.
Having a fire safety program that is prepared specifically for your facility is just good business sense.
